Food Drives

Heaven is Real Foundation works with families, neighbors and communities to ensure that those that are in need of food have the support they so desperately need. 

Our team works with local ministries, non for profits, churches, local restaurants, grocery stores and small businesses to provide food to families, along with the military community.

About 30 percent of food in American grocery stores is thrown away. US retail stores generate about 16 billion pounds of food waste every year. Wasted food from the retail sector is valued at about twice the amount of profit from food sales. This is where Heaven is Real Foundation steps in. We are able to make relationships with these stores that throw perfectly good food away. Remember, so much of our food is seasonal (holidays, holy days, etc.) so once those displays reach their end dates - these grocery stores get rid of the food to set up for the next display or holiday! This food is perfectly good food and just needs a new home! Many restaurants have rules in place of how long they are also able to keep food. For instance, Olive Garden will not use breadsticks from the previous day. So at the end of each day they have perfectly good bread that they throw away each night. This is just an example of how we receive our food for our ministry and food drives.
